About Me and Why I Do What I Do

Hi, I’m Dr. Gargi Kulshrestha, your resilience coach.

My journey has been one of learning, growth, and embracing life’s challenges with courage. From navigating personal struggles to finding my purpose, every step has been a profound learning experience. It was these very challenges that led me to dive deep into the world of psychology, mental health, and holistic healing.

There was a time when I had completely given up on life. I felt like a failure, unsure of who could help me. Confused, disheartened, and merely struggling to exist, one thing was clear—I could not give up. I had hit rock bottom, but I chose to rise from the ashes, just like a phoenix. Gathering all my strength, I embarked on a journey of transformation. This journey was about learning to forgive myself and love myself unconditionally.

In this process, I manifested my mentors. Whenever I needed guidance, the universe brought the right people into my life. In my moments of confusion, anxiety, and self-doubt, it was my mentor, Ms. Akanksha Parashar from the Mindful Journaling Academy, who held my hand. She helped me discover who I was, my strengths, weaknesses, and flaws. She guided me on a path of self-acceptance and self-love. Another guiding light was Mr. Bob Proctor. Although he didn’t know me, his teachings reached me during one of the darkest times in my life. He helped me find my purpose, giving me a second life worth living. I owe my journey and my mission to the invaluable lessons they imparted.

With all this inner healing and transformation, I went on to complete my Bachelor’s in Medicine with flying colors. Driven by my own experiences, I decided to delve deeper into mental health, psychology, and holistic healing. My mission became clear: to help others who are struggling in their lives. I wanted to be the person I wished I had found during my own darkest days. Today, I aspire to make conversations about mental health more accessible, breaking the taboo and spreading awareness about its profound impact.

I trained myself in life coaching, became a certified counselor, and acquired various skills to be a resilience coach. This journey led me to create ‘Embrace Life with Dr. Gargi,’ a venture dedicated to helping others find their path to healing and resilience. Through my work, I blend my expertise in medicine with therapeutic modalities like art therapy, life coaching, and mindfulness to offer a unique and supportive approach to mental well-being. My goal is simple: to help you embrace life fully, no matter the obstacles you face.
